There are many interesting attractions for those who wish to visit the surrounding area on day trips from the camp. Both San Saba and Lampasas have interesting museums. For the golfer, San Saba boasts of having one of the most beautiful 18 hole golf courses in the state. Llano, Cherokee, San Saba, Lometa, and Lampasas are all less than a one hour drive from Sulphur Springs Camp. They offer numerous activities such as arts and crafts, Peddler Days, Spring Ho, Rattlesnake Roundup, Cow Camp Cook-Off, P.R.C.A. Rodeos and fine dining. Sulphur Springs Camp is located next to the Colorado Bend State Park and offers lodging and camping to those wishing to see the park and visit its many attractions.
